Utilizing a V-band style to eliminate the need for traditional o-rings found is some engines the turbo has been designed to make more horsepower, and deliver stronger torque all while improving the fuel economy of the engine.
The design reduces the strain placed on the engine compared to a stock C7 turbo. As the turbo doesn’t have to overwork to do the same job it consumes less fuel and puts less wear on the turbo itself.
